Elijah Powers

Elijah Powers, a Knoxville, TN native, brings a wealth of diverse experiences to the financial services industry. Before transitioning into finance, Elijah built a career in the trades, working as a carpenter, lead electrician, maintenance program developer, and QAI for a prominent property management company in Knoxville. During this time, he benefited from financial guidance provided by the experts at Capital Choice.

After seven years of personal financial growth under the mentorship of Capital Choice professionals, Elijah stepped into a key role as a Financial Coach and Insurance Producer. His expertise includes leading debt reduction strategies, developing income replacement solutions, and crafting personalized retirement plans. Additionally, Elijah serves as a Marketing Associate, excelling in team leadership and implementing targeted marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and customer engagement.

Outside of finance, Elijah has had a distinguished 10-year career in the United States Army Reserve (USAR) as a Vertical Engineer. He has held various leadership positions, including team leader, squad leader, platoon sergeant, and project manager. His military service has taken him on joint task force missions in Romania and humanitarian missions in El Salvador and Texas. In 2022, recognizing his passion for teaching and mentorship, Elijah was requested to transfer to the Instruction Section of the USAR, where he now serves as a Course Instructor, designing and delivering training programs aligned with military objectives.

Elijah and his wife, married in 2020, live in Clinton, TN, where they are raising their three children. They are active members of their church and local co-op, where Elijah teaches high school Finance. In his free time, Elijah enjoys golf, following UT sports, reading, enjoying a good drink, and engaging in "campfire philosophy."
